Modern Luxe at St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort

Here’s something we could all drool over. Not everyone can ever step on this place but we can gaze at it on photo right? I’m gushing about the recently opened St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, located in Florida. Designed by Seiger Suarez Architectual Partnership with interiors by renowned studio Yabu Pushelberg.

The Smartphone Booklet

A very cool idea. After all smartphones just keeps getting thinner and thinner, right? I’m talking about this innovative design idea by Ilshat Garipov. It’s called the Smartphone Booklet - a disposable phone as thin as a cardboard made possible by switching from traditional silicon to nanoparticles!

Smartphone Booklet Design

The Booklet unfolds like a pamphlet with each side representing a commonly used application or function. Manufacturers can cut it to any size and once it’s worn out, just recycle it. Don’t worry about private information because everything is served from a cloud. Power is supplied by, SURPRISE, the sun thanks to energy absorbing nanoparticles.

Note that this is not a reality yet, but an idea. But at least where having a look at some possibilities and an idea on how our future gadgets would look like.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley goes Retro Sixties for Harper’s Bazaar

Okay. She my favorite ‘model’ of the moment so I know I’m flooding the blog with features of her. Lol. But then again this blog is for my pleasure, so no protests please. I think I should get a collectible military coin every time I feature Rosie Huntington Whiteley. I find her just gorgeous and the camera just worships her.

Just like in this Tom Munro – lensed fashion editorial spread on the January 2012 edition of Harper’s Bazaar UK. They go for a sixties inspired look and the gorgeous English model sports wardrobe of feminine frocks and lightweight outerwear.

I love the styling by Cathy Kasterine. And the whole spread just screams old 60′s glamour.

Socialite Danielle Tarantola Gets Her Pet Pooch Cloned

Uh. This is showing some pet love. For people who’s got the big bucks, and I’m sure they won’t even need visa reward cards meaning money is not a problem, they could get their pet cloned for just about $50,000! Just like what socialite Danielle Tarantola did when her beloved pet pooch, Trouble died. At least this is a very modern way of keeping memories alive.

Danielle with her original pet pooch - Trouble

‘Trouble’ was cloned at world’s only dog cloning company based in Korea for the price of $50,000. The cloned dog is now being called ‘Double Trouble’ which I think is kinda cute and of course this little pet is being pampered like the original Trouble.

The Lotus Yatch Design Concept

I love browsing through design concepts, its like taking a peek at what’s in store for us when it comes to technology and gadgetry. Sure, some might be surreal, like they are just not real. Some might just be concepts without ever seeing actual production but really great new things start from concepts right? For now some might have that out of the world appeal and perhaps not as real as your good reliable Nolan N90 helmets but still I’m in awe at the imagination of the designers who conceptualize projects just like these..

Fiorella - The Lotus Yatch Design Concept

The flower inspired concept of Hyun-Seok Kim of Yatch n Design called the Fiorella. It does resemble giant lotus flower! At first glance it might look like an egg, but once the ‘petals’ open up and reveals a cabin fit with an underwater panoramic view, convertible sofa-bed, and water level deck. This is one gorgeous floating picnic ‘yatch’!

Love it, love it! If I’ve got a pond or something, I would want to have this. Lol. It’s just gorgeously unique, isn’t it?

The Message Messenger Bag

Oh, how I love things like these! I was searching for for some leather briefcase I could give to my husband when I came across this Message Messenger Bag. I love it, but its just sooo not hubby’s style. So I’ll just content myself on ohhh ahhing over it here in this blog.

Message Messenger Bag from yankodesign

I’ve always loved vintage mail, postmarks, envelope, messenger concepts so this one had me at first glance. The shop description just about describe it best:

With an email icon on one side and an air mail envelope on the other, this bag is a wearable metaphor for a message.

Miu-Miu Spring 2012 Collection (Paris Fashion Week)

This is late. I know, I haven’t really been updating much. Too busy, with life not free dating! Hahaha. But I just had to feature this coz I’m somewhat intrigued by it. Miu-Miu’s Spring 2012 Collection presented during the Paris Fashion Week. The colors are playful, but the styles are going for a bit more polished and sophisticated look. A bit of deviation from Miu-Miu who is more know for its playful and quirky collections from the past. And I do love the accessories specially the clutches. But the shoes…Nah. The overall look is understated and structured.

Check it out..
