That Fashionable Orla Kiely Citroen DS3 Car

I love retro designs and amongst the crop of artists, Irish designer Orla Kiely stands out with her neo-70′s creations. They have this soft muted look that I find really appealing. It’s no wonder her label now aren’t just limited to fabrics and fashion, she has her signature designs appearing on fragrances, accessories, home and furniture, paper products and more.

And her latest? A collaboration with a French car manufacturer for an eco-freindly and uber fashionable car – Citroën.

The DS3 Citroën by Orla Kiely collection sports Kiely’s fresh, graphic touch through her olive acorn design painted onto the exterior, the colored and hand-stitched headrests in her signature flower pattern for the interior, and even acorn print carpet mats. If you want it, you better hurry though, coz this edition is only available for 500 units.

Hmm, I’m kinda liking the current trend of manufacturers’ and designers collaborating to come up with luxury products. At least we get to see more beautiful stuff. As for this one, I find it really cute and with its eco-friendly features, I’m sure it’ll find a receptive market.

On a side note, I would love to have small car like this to drive around. Maybe a four seater small car. I don’t like trucks I think I would find that difficult to a manage hahaha being the klutz that I am, and with a small one at least I won’t be needing any Texas truck accident lawyer.
