When it comes to ceiling fans, I must admit I haven’t seen much innovation in terms of design. Not surprising coz art and design how much can you really do with a ceiling fan. I’m not saying that the current designs in the market are ugly, in fact, I think a lot of them are pretty awesome and elegant. It’s just that, design perspectives on the ceiling fan hasn’t really changed much since it has been first conceived.

It’s quite understandable though as most people would like to have their ceiling fans complement their room decor, not overwhelm it. But looking at Ben McMahon’s really curvaceous ribbon ceiling fan makes me think, wow! at least this one is different.

Instead of single blades, McMahon incorporates loops and looks like a 3D model. Pretty fitting now that 3D is considered the next generation trend.
