Crochet Cigars by Nathan Vincent

I’m now officially an addict to crocheting. Can you imagine while I’m working or doing some browsing online I am also doing some crocheting? I’m on my first big project right now, I’m trying to make something big from some gazillion granny squares I’ve been making. Nothing fancy, just something simple and functional.

I’m always on the lookout for patterns and spend a lot of time in Etsy.com for some seriously fabulous crochet work and while doing my browsing routine I stumbled across Nathan Vincent, an artist who defies the cliche that crochet is just for women. And he creates some cool sculpture-like crochet creations like this one that I really, really like. Crocheted cigars!

Coolness! Which reminds me I’ve been trying to convice my sister and brother to quit smoking since really it does nothing except grill you to death early. It also a really s***pid way to spend money. Mostly I’ve been appealing to their sense of vanity, telling that that yuck that makes your skin dry, flaky, will bring out lots of blackheads and can you just imagine just how much serious treatment for blackheads can cost?

I’m not getting through to them though. So maybe I’ll just crochet something like this and give it to them hahaha! They could use it and puff like crazy! Kidding aside, Nathan Vincent has some really cool-looking crochet creations, so if you’re into this craft, check out his site.
