Just Musing: What’s With The Oppressive Heat?

It’s so hot here in Phnom Penh. Seriously, temperatures has been ranging from  33C to 36C and its so humid! Aircon and fans doesn’t really do much now to cool us down. Thankfully, our house is located in not too crowded area, there’s a small creek at the back of the house, so there’s some breathing space.

Hubby also had a good sense to plant a lot of trees in front of the house so at least we get some shade. We rarely venture out of the house when the sun is still scorching hot. For one, its a recipe for sunburn, skin diseases and I wouldn’t want to be searching for eczema treatment, and other skin treatments here in Phnom Penh where medical facilities are still limited. I’m particularly concerned about our daughter coz she easily gets skin rashes.

As for me, I avoid going out in the sun for too long coz its a sure migraine trigger for me. I’m praying for a little more rain to at least cool the place around. Is this an effect of global warming now? I’ve never encountered heat like this here before..
