Budget Mobile for Seniors..

Great to be back! I missed blogging and I’d like to think this blog missed me too. Heh. Anyway, I’m now back to regular blogging and expect more postings from this time on. I’m pretty sure the post title got you interested tor read this.. I’m hardly a senior citizen (not in a couple of decades anyway..), but I have a senior citizen mom who talks non stop about social security disability, health care for seniors and the like, so you get why I’m a bit well versed on things ‘senior-related’.

We were having a phone conversation last night which ended up with her complaining again about her mobile phone. A few years ago I gave her a phone (a phone that is too modern for her liking!) with camera and whatnots, but she doesn’t like it one bit. She says its too complicated, and she can’t even figure out where to change the ring tone. So then I told her I’ll buy her a new one. She did warn me to buy something ‘not expensive’. Which led me to do a mad online search for phones for seniors and I went to one of my favorite sites to shop for China made gadgetry and found something I like (I mean my mom would like hahaha)..

Single card FM 1.8Inch Big font the old man special cell phone $44.99 – I had to laugh out loud at the phone description. Old man special indeed. But I really love the big fonts and the simplicity of the phone. I think Mom would looove this! The FM radio is a bonus and I think the Emergency SOS function is cool.

QuadBand Big Daddy Unlocked Cell Phone + Torch, FM, MP3 Player – quad band for seniors who are serious travelers! Compact design and the big keys are a plus.

Versio Okimon – a little bit more sophisticated than the previous phones but still sleek and simple for seniors to use. Supports dual sim, FM, expandable memory, internet and i love that the big keypads has backlight. At the price of $29.99, this is one great buy.
