My mother’s throwing a Christmas dinner party. I guess she has the perfect excuse, it’s well Christmas and it’s also my brother’s 25th birthday. It has also been awhile since she last had a party at home so she says she wants it pretty special. Too bad we can’t be home for Christmas.

She’s so into the spirit of things, my dad even told me she’s now having the dining room tiles replaced. Huh?! And to brace myself, she’d be asking me to research this and that, table settings, decor etc etc.

Truth to tell, a few weeks ago she did ask me to look for some dining chair slipcovers designs. I think she had it in mind to have some tailor made for the dining chairs. Hmmm, I wondered if she was inviting the president or some VIP to her dinner hahaha! I guess I’m too much of a cheapskate to bother with things like that.
